Finance and Human Resources Administrator Consultant.

30 hours per week / 39 weeks per year – Job share considered.

Fixed term in the first instance until 31 March 2024 when it would be reviewed.

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Finance and Human Resources Administrator to join our consultant team.  JEM Business Consulting Ltd provide an ad hoc service to schools across Cambridgeshire, filling gaps for absence or whilst recruitment is ongoing or on a long-term SLA basis.  The role is a mixture of home based as well as scheduled dates on site at the assigned school.  All equipment is provided. 


Working hours                  

8.00 am – 4.00 pm (this includes 0.5 hour for lunch which is unpaid)

4 days per week between Monday – Friday

The successful applicant will:


  • Have experience of working in a busy Primary School Office

  • Have sound experience of the administration and management of a school office.

  • Have experience of operating Management information Systems (MIS) such as, Sims/Arbor/Scholarpack etc

  • Have experience of operating finance accounting packages such as, FMS/Sage/PS Financial

  • Have a good understanding of the expectations of the Corporate Team

  • Have a good understanding of educational issues and how they impact on a school office.

  • Can demonstrate good communication skills and have high standards, with a keen eye for detail.

  • They should be practical with a can-do attitude.

  • Very reliable

  • Positive, Caring and Sensitive

  • An excellent Team Player with the ability to use their own initiative.

  • GDPR aware.
